The Origin of SVS Laboratories

SVS Laboratories began as a germ of an idea in 2015 when John Elstob thought that there should be a New Zealand owned veterinary diagnostic laboratory which would have NZ veterinary and farming interests as its core objective.

The bonus of a small company would be that it could respond rapidly to client needs, allowing innovative ideas to be instigated within days to weeks rather than the months that it might take a larger company to react.

So SVS Labs which began as an idea, developed under the guidance of Rae Pearson and a small group of others to a fully functioning veterinary diagnostic pathology laboratory which opened for business in August 2016.
